Idea # 0001

Date: November 7, 2016

The idea is to aid paraplegics to walk again (or for the first time) by sensing brain activity and translating it to make the wheel chair stand and walk. To keep the occupant from falling we could use a gyroscope or maybe even something like an accelerometer to sense if they are starting to fall and adjust the mechanics to keep the chair from falling over.

Note: How could the occupant choose to stand? Possibility 1: A simple button on the arm rest. Possibility 2: the headband tracking brain activity could sense when the occupant wishes to stand (basically (re)aquaints the brain with the thought process of walking so it becomes effortless once rehabilitated).
