Welcome to the Idea Notebook

One of the fun parts of being an engineer is coming up with ideas to hopefully change the world. So I decided I would share some of the ideas I've had and recorded in a notebook in the last several years. The ideas in this blog are things I would like to work on in the future which could potentially become its own blog post. The format will be pretty simple. Each post will start with the idea number and the date I came up with the idea followed by a paragraph summarizing the idea and finally the sketch that accompanied the idea. I recognize that I lose the security of my ideas remaining my ideas by posting them in this blog. However, I feel comfortable sharing a handful of my ideas especially if it meant that it could improve someone else's life. I do have a couple of requests for my DIY readers. First, if you decide you would like to build one of my ideas I would appreciate if you messaged me ahead of time. I'd like to be apart of the process of putting this thing together even if it's just brainstorming the different ways to design the product. Second, if the product is at all sellable then I would humbly request that you give me some sort of credit for the idea. I would be thrilled if it were just name credit.
